by Korey Fauque on 08/23/11It is important to remember to put fire insurance on your crop before starting harvest. Your MPCI insurance excludes coverage for man caused fires.

by Korey Fauque on 06/10/11
As the rain continues to fall here, many of you may be wondering what your options are if you can't get your crop seeded before the 25th of June. Luckily we do have the prevented planting option through your MPCI insurance.
Prevented planting allows you to collect 60% of your MPCI gaurantee on the acres you were not able to seed. Please contact us with any questions you have on this coverage.
Final Planting Dates approaching
by Korey Fauque on 05/06/11
It certainly is no secret that we are getting late into the planting season without much progress to note. While we do have a fair amount of time left for Wheat and Barley seeding, there are some other crops that are getting close to the penalty period for planting.
Field Peas- May 10th is the final planting date- at that point the late planting period starts and you are penalized 1% per day for up to 15 days. If they are not seeded my May 25th they are then uninsurable
Lentils- May 20th Final Planting date with same 15 day late planting period.
Canola- May 15th with 15 Day Late planting period. The first 5 late days are a 1% per day penalty and then 5 to 15 days are 2% per day penalty.
Wheat and Barley- May 30th is final planting date with a 15 day late planting period penalized at 1% per day.
Forage Seeding- May 31st with no late planting period. It is uninsurable after that May 31st date.
Next Deadline: 04/29/2011
by Korey Fauque on 03/24/11We have completed the 03/15/2011 crop deadline and are looking ahead to our next deadline - PRODUCTION REPORTING. All of you already reported your 2010 production to us last fall. However, 04/29/2011 is the last date we can change these production numbers. So, if any of you had to just guess what you had for production in the bins and have now hauled that production and have more accurate numbers, please drop in or call us before April 29, 2011. Accurate production numbers are a necessity due to the increasing number of audits that the government is requiring of all crop insurance companies.
